My mother's maiden name was Kilian and I have traced her family in Australia since their arrival in 1854.

Gottfried Kilian and his wife Christiana Elstermann had two sons, Aurelius Kilian born in Dobriluck, Prussia in 1831 and Carl Kilian born 1837 in Phillipsburg, Germany.

Both sons came to Victoria in 1854.

Carl Kilian is my great grandfather. His Naturalisation Certificate gives his place of birth as Phillipsburg, Baden. His Marriage Certificate gives place of birth as Bodriluck, Germany. The Birth Certificate of his first child gives place of birth as Schweidnitz, Prussia.

I am eager to find information on the parents or any siblings.
