Eston Neville Killlan was born Sept. 18,
1880 in his father's home, Ft. Lawn area,
Chester Co., SC, the 3rd child born to Sidney
E. Killlan. On Dec. 25, 1901 in Heath Chapel,
Ft. Lawn area, Cheste,[, Co., SC. Ev married
Mattie Catherine Turner, Feb. 13, 1880 in what
is now Claude Turner's home, Ft. Lawn,
Chester Co., SC). After they married, Eston
bought a farm on the south side of Landsford
in Chester Co., SC. About 1/4 mile south of the
intersection of US 21 and SC 223 he built his
house on that land. He built the house between
US 21 and the railroad. Probably about 1915,
he built his second house just south of his first
house. It was large. Shortly after the SC
Highway Dept. was founded in 1917, he
started to work for them and rented out his
land. About 1934, this second house burned
along with possessions, like photos and
papers. He then built a third house on the
spot where the second house had stood. One room ![]()
