Looks like fun to me. I am really glad you are planning a weekend of it. It's a long way, Baby for one afternoon's fellowship! If Gene will come, so will I... I reach my signal 60th in 2000, and intend on partying all year long!

Can you give us a list of convenient hotels, or can we stay at the 'Killian Konvention Center? Let me know when and where I can book a room, sure would hate to miss out....

Andreas Killian descendants,
I am surprised not to hear but one person saying he is coming (if ...). I am planning on coming & camping. Now we have 2 planning on coming. I recommend you all encourage the planners via email to the list, if you hope or plan to come.

Well then by golly, consider this encouragement. I sure intend to get down this coming year. Camping out the whole weekend like that makes it better than just a single afternoon!

Hello Killian's

I plan on attending, but with the military (transfer season) I don't know if I will still be in the area. So put me down for a maybe.

I, George W. Killian & wife, Shirley, would like to plan on the 2000 SSS understanding that we will have a little more time together. We are interested in moderate hotels, or good rates.

I do appreciate the work that a team is putting together.

Would you do me a favor? I should soon be thinking of the first Killian Family Newsletter of 2000. I would like to have the full names of all on the 2K committee.

Linda, ...
Yes I do hope to get to the 3-day "SSS" annual meeting. We are not campers but are quite satisfied with one of the economy motels.

Thanks again for your information.

To all Killian reunion planners:

I have put in for two weeks vacation that will cover the reunion weekend. Don't know where we will stay at this time. Do not plan to camp out. Had enough of that while in the Air National Guard. I hope there is a lot of information that everyone will bring and will be willing to share with those that are doing research. I will bring what information I have.

Hi James,

My wife and I do plan to attend the reunion next year. Just bought a travel trailer so will probably find a campground.

A long weekend should give us all enough time to pass info back and forth as well as time to tour some of the historical Killian sights.

Hello to All

I am a descendant of Jean Killian and William Lawing. I am planning to attend the reunion in September and hope to bring my dear cousin (who is quite a genealogist). I wonder if there are others from Jean Killian's line on the list or that normally attend the reunion.

As a "new" member of the list, I'll post my relationship (below) but want to ask about the "reunion"  I would like to attend, would need a modest motel, etc (and info) but...will we be able to purchase there some of the GW Killian "goodies" -- what a treasure you are!  (like the $5 essay, etc) or is this too much for you to organize/bring? ...

Thank you to all of you for the "heads up" on the free map and the extra bit of information about why it is a "good" map to have.  I just phoned and will receive a map AND a NC Travel guide (free) in a couple weeks!  Maybe I really can organize a trip to the reunion after all.  it is a bit overwhelming to me to see such interest in what I thought was a "small" family !  As an only child, I truly thought there weren't many Killi*ns left.  Boy, was I naive and wrong.  Thank you so much for the wonderful work all of you are doing.  I am determined to start once again and visit all those places I have only heard stories about. ...

Found the notification of the Killian renunion for Sept 9-10 2000 on the Web. As of now I plan to come to the renunion for a day if not camping. Depends on work. My name is Wayne Setzer and I trace my roots back to Andres Killian through my mother Neta Killian Setzer, Josie Killian, Casper Elbaney Killian, Joseph Killian, Samuel C Killian, to Andres Killian.

Just an update to the Killian reunion. I still plan to come and will be camping. Wanted to let you know this for the Camp ground plans. I will be in a 24' travel trailer and will be there on Friday. Will leave on Sunday. That will be 2 nights of camping. Have enjoyed reading on the information on the Killian listing. I am just really getting started in this genealogy so hope to learn a lot and meet a lot of people. Thanks for all the hard work you and the others are putting into all this.

T-Shirts
The T-shirts turn out to be different than the plan below.  As I understand from Eddie's description, on the back, the shirts have a map of early migrations of Andreas' descendants through America.  On the front pocket area is a combination of the first words on Andreas' monument followed by the words from the triangular pocket symbol below.  Two types of T-shirts were printed, differing in precisely what was printed on the t-shirts.
