ELIJAH  KILLIAN
410
Elijah Killian was born July 13, 1824 Catawba Co., NC and died after 1900 census was taken. He married Catherine Malinda Bolick (b. ? d.?) sometime after their marriage bond was made May 24, 1845.
I have an outline I made so long ago that I don't know its source. It says Elijah's name was Sidney Elijah and he is buried out from Newton, NC. I have never found the grave. It says he married May 5, 1845 and had the following 8 children: Rebecca Elvira Killian (b. Sept. 22, 1845 & never married), George

Monroe Killlan (b. Mar. 7, 1847 & married in Missouri), Pinckney M. Killian [I have since got his middle initial as A.] (b. Aug. 15, 1849 married Susan Jarrett), Noah Killlan (b. Aug. 18, 1850 d. Oct. 10, 1878 & married Catherine Huffman), Sidney E. Killian (see "Sidney E. Killian") (b. June 6, 1852) [It was June 1 according to his obit, Bible, tombstone, & death certificate], Sylvanus Killian (b. Aug. 11, 1854 & married Candace Winebarger), Gabriel Killian (b. Mar. 8, 1958 [1858] & married 1st Camilla Hallman and then someone in Missouri), and Joseph F. Killian (b. Aug. 4, 1860 & married 1st Sarah Moore then Lana ? Kanupp). I have info on many of Pinckney's descendants down to his grandchildren and these two families have kept in contact. The others are unknown except for their census info.
Elijah Killian was the son of Joseph Killlan (b. May 16, 1800 m. Feb. 24, 1824 d. June 28, 1889 all in Catawba Co., NC) and Regina Bolick (b. Jan. 17 or 27, 1805 d. Feb. 25, 1885 Catawba Co., NC). Joseph Killian and his wife are buried at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Hickory. The names of his children are published in the book The History of the Killian Family in NC.
Joseph Killian was the son of Samuel C. Killlan (b. 1760 - '65 m. 1784 d before Dec. 30, 1813) and Barbara Hager (d before after Dec. 28, 1813). Samuel C. Killian is the son of Andreas Killian Sr. (b. ca. 1702 d. probably in Sept. 1785 since his will was probated the 22nd of that month). Samuel C. Killian's mother is thought to be Mary Cline (Andreas' second wife) because of Samuel's middle ini- tial C. and because he is one of Andreas' last children --i.e. the 11th of 12. Mary Cline is thought to be a descendant of Mathias Bieber (Beaver) and his wife Susannah. Mary is mentioned in Andreas' will so she died sometime after he made his will Sept. 22, 1785.
Samuel C. Killian's wife, Barbara Hager, is the daughter of William Hager Sr. (d. before Oct. 1775) and his wife Elizabeth (d. after 1800).
Joseph Killian's wife, Regina Bolick, is the daughter of Johan Casper Bolick (b. Dec. 26, 1756 Berks Co., PA m. Dec. 28, 1799 d. July 27, 1834) and Maria Magdalena Deal (b. Aug. 15, 1750 or 1756 Northampton, PA d. Oct. or Nov. 25, 1838 or 1839). Johan Casper Bolick was the son of Johan Adam Bolch, Sr. b. in Germany m. ? d. after Jan. 13, 1794) and Anna Christina. According to Adam Bolch's will (published in The Bo/ich Family in America) by Mary Margaret Bolich, 1939) Adam was a shoe maker.
Johan Casper Bolick's wife, Maria Magdalena Deal, was the daughter of Wilhem Diehi (b. in Germany d. 1807) and Anna (b. ? d. 1790) There is a book Deal Stafford Genealogical Hist. by Rom C. Deal & Miss Kelsie Deal (copyright 1939) which traces a line of descent from a William Diehi who came to America in 1738 and settled near Newton, NC. The wife of that William does not match what I have been told and the children listed do not include my Maria Magdalena.
Elijah Killian's wife, Catherine Malinda Bolick, was the daughter of Godfrey Bolch, Jr. (b. Dec. 25, 1805 m. Jan. 8, 1824 d. May 14,

1889) and Sabina Propst (b.? d.?). Godfrey Bolch, Jr. was the son of Godfrey Bolch Sr. (b.? m.? d.?) and Catherine Travelstreet (b.? d.?). Godfrey Bolch Sr. was a full brother of Johan Casper Bolch.

Godfrey Bolch Jr.'s wife, Sabina Propst, was the daughter of John Propst (b. Dec. 12, 1776 m. c. Jan. 9, 1802 d. Mar. 14, 1869) and Christina Dietz (b. May 12, 1782 d. June 16, 1842). John and Christina are buried side by side in old St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cem. in Row 5 (graves 300 & 299 respectively, as numbered in Tombstone Inscriptions of the Old St. Paul's Church Cemetery by Neal D. Wilfong). According to this book by Wilfong, I have the day of the month wrong for both death dates. John Propst was the son of Henry Probst (b.? m. c. 1770 d.?) and Elizabeth Cline (b. c. 1745 in PA d. ?). Henry Propst was the son of Johan Michal Probst (b. 1712 Germany m. Dec. 25, 1733 Stoever, Calico Township d.?) and Anna Marie Keller (b.? d.?). Johan Michal Probst was the son of Michal Probst (b. 1679 Germany m.? d.?) and Barbara (b. 1680 Germany d.?).

Henry Propst's wife, Elizabeth Cline, was the daughter of Sebastian Klein (b. c. 1718 in Germany m. c. 1740 PA d.?) and Elizabeth Beaver (b. ? d. ?). Sebastian Klein was the son of Moritz Klein (b. 1680's or 1690's in Germany). Elizabeth Beaver was the daughter of the above mentioned Mathias Bieber and his wife, Susannah.
    John Propst's wife, Christina Dietz, was the daughter of Solomon Dietz (b. ? m. 1797 d. ?) and Elizabeth Huffman (b.? d.?).
